Default AOL and Vent Prob

I recently installed AOL 9.0, but when I run AOL I cannot connect to Vent server. It keeps showing connecting server. I read the old post about how to fix this prob, but due to my windows (Vista) and language (Chinese) is different, it seems not to work for me. Can I get any suggestion how to fix this problem? Thanks very much in advance!

can you connect to the vent server when aol is NOT running?

let's start with this:

start / run
cmd
route print

then copy/paste the list here

and this:

Perform a traceroute to the server and post the results:

start > run

cmd {hit enter}
tracert serverhostname(found in server setup)

(example: tracert frost.pure-voice.net )

Yes, I can connect to the vent server if aol is not running.

Here is what I got when I press
route print (I used google translate from Chinese to English):

Have you tried running the Command Prompt as an administrator in Windows? You can go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt and right click on it, followed by selecting 'Run as Administrator'. Once you have done that, try and repeat Prog-Rocker's previous instruction.

Ok after I run as admin, it let me type that 2 command on that. But then I try to get on vent. It still said ''contacting server''. Any other step I have to do to get that work?

Thanks all for help.

try this:
(had a typo in the ipaddress for the vent server - .13 instead of .3 )

route add 174.34.191.3 mask 255.255.255.255 113.252.96.1 metric 1

if it works then type it in again like this:

route add 174.34.191.3 mask 255.255.255.255 113.252.96.1 metric 1 -p
