I switched over to a Logitech 350 headset. My voice sounds better but still low - which is what I expected, since the iSight captures sound at 48Khz and the Logitech captures at 41Khz, both being broadcast at 32Khz without being recoded.

I too am very happy to no longer be running VirtualPC on my Mac.
