What is the status of the Macintosh client?

I realize this is the wrong forum to ask this, as there is a forum dedicated to the Macintosh client, however the forum is closed, and only has one post indicating a pending release. The post is dated this past July if I'm not mistaken. Has the Tiger client been dropped? I would love to see it resurected. I would pay a reasonable fee for the Mac software if it would help. I would like to see it get released some day. Thank you.

As you can see in the downloads section there is already Mac OS X server side software, the client side is forthcoming. As far as the status goes, I notice they delete a lot of the threads asking for a status update as too many people ask for said information in new threads or just post "me too's" in the exisiting ones. They are working on it though, and there are plenty of anxious people waiting to get their hands on it, me included. For now I think it's best we just keep having patience and wait it out awhile longer til it's our turn. After all, this is a free software (I would donate as you suggested also) so I find it rude that people often demand it.

Last I heard there was talk about the end of this year, but I can't recall if there was any basis behind that thought.

Some sources told me they received a beta-test of the mac Ventrilo Client. Il will probably be released soon, it's a working version and well designed, the source says.

I heard similar information from an anonymous source, but not how well it was designed. This is very exciting :)

My guess is that Flagship gave the Blizzard Mac team the beta version, they seem like a likely candidate for it since they have gotten used to all the nda's and secrecy that the blizzard team operates under.
