That happens when u just doubleclick ventrilo_srv, right?

This worked for me (my ventrilo folder is located in my home folder)

Open a fresh terminal window, type in "cd ventrilo" or whatever u may have named ur folder. When ur in the ventrilo directory type in "./ventrilo_srv" and it should be up and running.

ummm... Im sorry, but i dont fully understand waht you mean, could you possible copy the code you use (in the terminal window) to redirect the shell to folder. Furthermore, could you copy the commands used to actually run the server file? that would be fantsatic!!

I had this problem, I had the port set to 2000, the default is 3784. You have it set to 3788, set it back to 3784 and see if it works, did for me.

This is because it's the Public Server version, and it only allows that port (I think). Also 1 server per machine and a max of 8 users.
