Default Sound issues with Vent:

My problem is that i can not hear any sound, events such as entering chat and such play so its not the actual setup of the card. Now here comes the tricky part, Im running ubuntu Gutsy 7.1, And using Wine to emulate the windows version of vent (becuase of no linux version), Any Ideas?

"Failed to get encoder for specified Codec.

Unable to initialize outbound codec (GSM 6.10 - 44 KHz, 16 bit): Unable to find the specified codec."
