Default Question about using vent and WoW.

This is probably a ridiculous question, but I've been having the problem for awhile and I've asked around. No one seems to know how to fix it.

I play WoW windowed, and I have a hotkey assigned to my push to talk button. But I can't press this key while I have WoW up and talk in vent, I have to physically switch to the vent window to be able to press the key and talk. If that makes any sense at all. Like I can be in the game and press the button, but it doesn't register on vent. I can hear everything fine, it's just I can't speak when I have the game up.

Hope I can get this sorted out. Thanks.

In setup-voice uncheck and then re-check the "use ptt hotkey". This will pop a question asking if you want to open the control panel. Follow the instruction in that popup.

I did that, and it ahd me check assistive listening devices, which I already did when I first set it up. I have no trouble hearing people, only they still can't hear me.

Make sure that the key isn't mapped in WoW.

What key are you trying to assign?

I am having the exact same thing. This happened in just the last 2 days. Maybe it has something to do with the latest patch, but if so, it has never before.

I can hear everyone in Vent, but cannot talk until VENT is "brought forward" in front of all other programs and then the key bindings work fine.

I have switched key bindings several times also with no luck.

Normally I have used it fine in SPACES mode wile World of warcraft is in "windows" mods giving me the option to switch to the internet to look things up. I have tried switching 'windows" mode on and off several times but no luck.

As of now, I can not even try new key bindings without bringing the VENT window forward even without any game working.

I am having the same exact problems as listed above with all of the "fixes" tried with no results.

Any more info that can be added to this subject by the powers-that-be?
