Angry Problem with downlaoding

ok so i go to downlaod vent, and it does it fine until it gets to my desktop then it turns into a white piece of paper, and i can't open it....WHATS WRONG

i do not understand what the problem could be. safari should download it and start the installer. unless you have changed some default settings on your computer

on like i mean it downlaods and everything then it just goes to a peice of papaer on my desktop

As stated before, I believe the problem is you have no application set to unzip files. The application should be BOMArchiveHelper.

As you say the correct folder for this application does not exist on your computer (which would be impossible), I would suggest that have a Mac-knowledgeable friend come take a look at your computer.

Open /Applications/Utilities/Terminal and enter this command:

ls -l /System/Library/CoreServices

then paste the output here.

i got applications/utilities, then i cant find terminal in there anywhere
