I have been using Ventrilo for several years and it has worked fine. My mic is okay too. But for some reason the other day, Ventrilo suddenly would respond to my mic hotkeys. It wont even work without the push to talk hotkey enabled. I have tried to use several hotkeys and it still wont let me talk. When I hit the hotkey the green speaker and confirmation noise does not go off. For some reason it will only let me talk in test mode, and thats useless. It lets me talk in teamspeak still, however. What do I need to do to get Ventrilo working again? Please, thanks.

Hello, I have a strange problem using Ventrilo 3.0.5 on my Win7. It's setupped on a notebook and my hotkey bindings don't want to work at all. I mean, even red speaker sign don't change to green when I press Hotkey. I tried to run it with Administrator rights and in compability mode - the same truble.
P.S. My microfone works great (I used Skype and voice recording) and all settings are setupped right (I have Ventrilo also on my PC, also with Win7, and there are all the same settings and no such problems). P.P.S. I am sorry of my grammar. I haven't got any english practice for years... |

Hello. I am running Ventrilo 3.0.5 on my Vista 64. I have been using vent for many years now for communication during world of warcraft. Starting today, when I have World of Warcraft running, vent will not allow me to speak. I push my hotkey button and the little speaker remains red. Vent does work as normal when WoW is minimized. I have checked my microphone and it works great. My sound card drivers are all current and everything on my computer is up to date. I was still able to hear everyone else in vent while the game is up and running, just unable to speak. Does anyone know of any solutions or something else I can check. I have uninstalled vent and reinstalled it with no change.
I am sorry for my poor grammar and spelling. |

I'm having the same problem on my Win7 x64 machine. Ventrilo just quit working in the middle of a session and will not work again. I can hear fine but nothing works for input anymore.

I'm having the same problem, I did a restart on my computer - loaded vent and suddenly my mic is not working. I have tested my mic with my computer and with vent, both are registering my mic but when I'm in a channel in vent my mic doesn't light up, just stays red. I'm using Vista 64 Bit.
