My brother is currently trying to use Ventrilo on a mac to communicate with guildies in WoW. He is able to connect, but can not hear anyone. The ventrilo visuals show the microphones turning from red to green, but no sound comes from the computers speakers. Please reply with a remedy to this post. Thanks

Have him click "Setup" while connected and tell us what it says for Codec.

My Mac is also doing this. Version OS X.
Says something about Speex? Only Codec accepted. Won't let me hear anybody speaking, or speak. |

I am also having this issue, the codec is speex. I can see that I turn from red to greem, but noone can hear me. Though I can hear everyone else in the channel. Using a USB sennheiser mic. Any infor or direction that would remedy this would be very helpful.

i got this aswell and i was looking into it and apparently the vent servers that we use have to be speex quality or support it for ventrilo on mac computers. It is the lowest quality and its the only one vent for mac supports....
