Default problems downloading on mac

i've downloaded file ventrilo-2.3.2.prototype.14-da...alpkg.zip .Cant seem to un zip files with stuffit.Error keeps coming up.please help.I'm on a IbookG4 with Mac OS X

Use Safari to download the file.

if you are running a mac with OSX you will more than likely have safari on there.

You will definitely have Safari, unless you've explicitly deleted it.

yup thats what i did.Deleted it .Maybe a stupid move.Never had to use it till now.Guess i'll have to reload it

Even then, I'm surprised FireFox didn't work. Might not be browser related.

k got it to download off of safari but now cant type user name in or get connected to server.It wont let me put my user name in and tells me i have to so i can connect .???????

might want to update then

it is not Firefox related because I can download it with Firefox and when I doubleslick the zip file it creates the pkg file.
