Default Vent lag/delay help!

My vent ping ranging from 9k-98k (no joke) and im having no problems in game at all; just the vent delay for me is about 5-10mins. I have no problems hearing them, but they get my message late and I can't switch channels until waiting about 2-3mins. Can anyone offer some help maybe..

Do you happen to use Buckeye Express out of Toledo, OH?

If so, join the club.

may be a temporary issue to the server, or your upload bandwidth is not stable and you are actually saturating it. what is the server codec and format?

My windows is XP PRO SP2
I'm using the default theme.
I'm using the GSM Codec, 44khz one.

Although the weird thing is I never had a problem with this vent until I reformatted. It's just this vent that is giving me problems, when I go on my other friends it's perfectly fine. Is there a way maybe you can open up a port to fix this?
