Default ventrilo wont connect to new server

I am not able to connect to a new ventrilo server, that our guild just started using tonight. I have never had problems connecting to any in the past. When I go to connect, nothing happens; no error code, not anything. The server admin set it up for Speex, still nothing. It just hangs on the connecting part. Several other people are also having this problem, that are not using a mac. After searching google and the forums, I have not been able to figure out why it won't connect. I even opened the ports in my firewall for Ventrilo and I made sure I had the latest version of Ventrilo.

my current system is:
Operating System: MAC OSX 10.5.3

Game: World of Warcraft (vent wont connect whether or not i am running the game)

Screen shots: see links below

Vent main Window

Connection Editor

Vent log info

the fact that several other ppl cant connect makes me wonder if its on my end...

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I need to be able to talk to my guild on vent.

How do you know if you have the wrong port number?
