My guild's vent server has been using GSM up until 2 days ago, they switched it to speex, however I am still unable to hear / talk on the mac client. If I use parallels to run the windows client I can hear just fine (~my usb mic doesn't work with parallels). I need to be able to talk / hear with the mac client, but I can't figure out what the issue is.
When I log on there is no GSM notification, I can talk & hear on any other speex server, so I'm pretty confused. |

I don't think the server is really changed to Speex.
While connected to the server, click the Setup button and see what it says for the codec and format. |

do you still get the warning that you are connecting to a GSM server?

ensure that mute mic and mute sound are not checked.
if they are not, then please post a screenshot of your ventrilo setup page. |
