Make sure vent is getting any kind of input. Go to setting and hit "monitor." If you see a bunch of zeros and nothing else when you talk, you have a problem with your input. Make sure you have the correct devices selected as well.

Thanks for the advice, I messed with the input and found that I had to manually change it to my isight so now it works fine. Don't know what I did to enable me hearing other people but now when I log on to my server I get this synth tone so its working now. Thanks again

if my server changes to speex, does that mean that only mac users will be able to use ventrilo? also ventrilo aint connected to WoW is it, i can use my pc on the side to connect and my mac to play right?

So I run a Ventrillo server and want to enable Speex. I run the Public version for Windows XP. How exactly do I run it on Speex? Thanks!
