Default Speex vs. GSM

is there a way to get rid of that suttle sound? going from high quality sound from GSM to Speex codec can be a big change for some

Configured equally, they should sound the same.

Make sure all Windows users are running the 2.3.2 beta 3 client and if any have issues, have them reset their amplifiers to zero.

You set the VoiceCodec and VoiceFormat values in the ventrilo_srv.ini file.

Recommended values are:

VoiceCodec = 3
VoiceFormat = 20

You can get a complete list of possible values by executing ./ventrilo_srv -?
