Default Ventrilo crashes shortly after connection

Last night I downloaded Ventrilo 3.0.4 on to my G5 iMac (PPC / Mac OS X 10.5.5 / 2.5GB RAM). It installed with no problem and I went in to set it up. I created a login name and entered the server address and port provided by my group. The server was found and seemed to work all right when I pushed connect.

But then within a few seconds of connecting Vent froze and then crashed thirty seconds later. I tried connecting several times with the exact same results. So I deleted the program and its preferences, redownloaded the installer and reinstalled it. Same result. I confirmed that there were no problems with a firewall, etc.

I tried installing it on my wife's computer (2.0GHz MacBook / Intel / 10.5.5) and everything worked perfectly. Any ideas? Thanks.

Click the about button. Make sure it says 3.0.4 there.

Here's your problem:

AudioBufferList const*, AudioTimeStamp const*, AudioBufferList*, AudioTimeStamp const*, void*) + 616
The problem is caused by a Joesoft product you have installed.

Contact Joesoft and see if they can provide a fix.
