Prog, i found the install.log However, its quite full of text. At the bottom of the whole thing, which is REALLY long, there is most of the following:
Apr 22 21:18:17 users-computer : postflight[2620]: Apr 22 21:18:17 users-computer : postflight[2620]: /usr/bin/ditto -rsrcFork "/var/log/install.log" "/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Installer/Logs/Adobe Help Center/install_log.txt" Apr 22 21:18:17 users-computer : postflight[2620]: |

The 10.4 Installer.app is located in Applications->Utilities folder and can be reinstalled or drag and dropped - but you would need the original system DVD to install it from. I really think there is more too this so a complete reinstall would be in order. It wont remove anything, but will replace the OS files that are corrupted.
From 10.5 forward, the Installer.app is located in System->Library->Core Services. Last edited by Jaycyn; 01-06-2011 at 03:36 PM. |

10.5 was discontinued in 2009 and the current OS is 10.6 ($29 US).
However, I don't think your Mac supports 10.6 so you will need to find a copy of 10.5. You can contact Apple directly at 1-800-My-Apple or maybe find one on eBay. |

Im thinking that ill buy Snow Leopard probably this weekend so that i can fix this, it's really bugging me. Jaycyn, if i bought the 29.99 CD for snow leopard offered from Apple, what will i need to do to fix my problem? Do i just use the CD and upgrade. I mean, will upgrading to 10.6 solve my problems AND IF i decide to just format my disk and just completely start fresh, new user, and then re-install everything, will the CD i buy have the required things?

and you can re-install without having to delete everything? That would work. I guess the Leopard or Snow Leopard will have the installing disks?

Oh - you have a MacBook! Great news - yes, 10.6 Snow Leopard is fully supported.
I would recommend a minimum of 2G of Ram if you are going to play WoW, more if you have a later model MacBook. |
