Default Loggrep

I'm an technical administrator for a large gaming clan, and I decided that I wanted to be able to give more information to my assistants and ranking personnel about users on Ventrilo. I have an extensive background in programming so I decided to work on designing an application that breaks down logs from Ventrilo and brings up relevant information that people would want. Time spent online, connections, percent chance someone will be on a certain hour, percent chance somone will be on in a day of the week, calendar view of last 90 days spent online including hourly view of activity for those 90 days. Im working on incorperating a lot of other information like linking accounts by IPs as well. The program has been working fine, and I even store the information on a MySQL database so its completely accessible by nearly any language.

I'll include a couple screenshots so you can see basicly what im doing.

I have two questions.

1. It seems there is a bug with the ventrilo server (im using a 100 slot paid server hosted by InstantVentrilo). It appears certain messages such as TTS when done 2-3 times in a row without another line of logs between it, causes the log file to crash or be erased. Because I require to constantly scan the logs, losing a few hours or days is critical to the program. Is this a known issue, is the file really erased or can I just contact the hosting company and get the actual file sent to me?

2. Is there any way to get logs from the ventrilo server? I know there is the monitor command and loggrep, but both of those require the user to manually copy data and then submit it into the program. Can ventrilo be linked into in any way to request log data with certain admin logon information?

Thank you,
iXeta

My suggestion would be to

1) contact the hosting company

2) I do have a question for you. Can you log into your hosting companies server? If so you maybe able to see the configuration file there also.

best of luck
