Server Lag question

I'm paying for a 50 person server from Typefrag.com for use with my guild in World of Warcraft.

The server is configured for the highest quality Speex codec. This evening when we were raiding the server was very laggy. There would be frequent pauses and delays when anybody spoke and many disconnects. Is this definitely a server issue or can this sort of problem be caused by clients connecting with older versions of vent?

What issues did the 2.3.2.beta.3 windows version correct on speex servers?

This is really frustrating and Typefrag support was slow to get back to me so I thought I might try and get my own answers here.

when something like this is occurring, please post a tracert to the server.

A voice quality issue with Speex. All your Windows users should be running it.

Chances are good that it was just a bad night somewhere leading into typefrag.com. I wouldn't spend any time on it unless it persists.
