Need step by step instructions..

Ok, ive read through these forums and havent found exactly what im looking for. Obviously i play online games and every freaking person cept me uses a windows. It's a real pain to have to ask the administrator to do this but i need to know what to say to get him to change the codec to speex. I know that our host server ends with an "nrgservers.com" if that helps... I need step by step instructions that I can copy and past for him so he won't hate me for putting him through some technological crap. Please give me this or just simply make a new version of vent that works with all codecs...
