Default vent problems?

I haven't had any issues up until the past few days when I started getting this error...

2008-11-04 22:25:35 VoiceCommMixerStart: Invalid voice mux selection. (-1)

sometimes it won't let me talk in game (World of Warcraft Online) but if i drop screen and am on the desktop I can talk fine. After a few minutes everything is fine and I can talk in game just fine. I don't have a clue what the heck is wrong. Is anyone else having this problem???

in vent setup, the device selected in the mixer section is not correct.
if you're using a usb headset then set it to 'none'

if using Vista and PTT, try setting both Vent and any online game to ‘Run As Administrator’ (rt-click their icons)

Im also having an issue with ventrilo hanging when I click to enter and exit setup. I also try holding ctrl before I click as well and it still hangs.

Whats odd is that I used to use ventrilo on this same laptop Im using now and it worked fine. It had to be sent in to HP for repairs, though, and now after re-downloading and re-installing, I have this issue.

Ive updated my sound drivers as well and that didnt help. Its not a huge issue since I dont go into setup a lot but if theres a way to correct it, Id like to know how.
