Default I have no voice

I will try and provide as many details as possible to ensure a quick resolution to this problem, and so I don't waste anyone's time.

I own a Mac Mini with a 1.5 GHz Intel Core Solo processor, first generation Intel chip.

This is the headset I purchased:

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Premi...1542023&sr=1-1

It's an analog headset with a black plug (line in) and a red plug (line out).

I'm running the most recent version of Ventrilo, 2.3.2.Prototype.15 for Macintosh.

Mute Sound: Unchecked
Mute Microphone/Binds: Unchecked

I made sure the microphone itself wasn't set to mute and that I had the volume turned all the way up.

For the life of me I can't get the microphone to work. I tried using it with and without PTT enabled. When I speak there isn't any static. My voice isn't being registered at all.

Any and all help with this problem would be much appreciated.

An analog headset will not work with a Mac as a Mac requires a stronger signal.

You can either purchase and analog-to-USB converter:

Or you can return your analog headset and purchase a USB headset.
