msg: contacting server

i'm receiving the 'msg: contacting server' error when attempting to log in. i haven't used vent in a while, and the last time i used it i was in the states (currently in france). i've tested vent via the paris server at http://www.darkstarllc.com/ and it works perfectly well. i've also wiped every file pertaining to vent from my mac, rebooted and re-installed with no luck. any suggestions?

As others have mentioned, I can get onto many other vent servers without fail.

On this one server, however, I get the hang at MSG: Contacting Server.

At reliance.dyn-o-saur.com port 4212 I get: "Ventrilo server is not responding." when trying prog's suggestion.

Others have no problems, and have been online successfully with that server at the same time I've been unable to connect.

looks like your info might be incorrect. the server status doesn't get a response nor can i telnet to it.

try contacting a server admin to see if maybe they moved the server to a different address and/or port
