Question Preventing Peer to Peer - Flagship

Hello Mac Ventrilo Community!

I am the administrator of a ventrilo server, and I am having an issue I need very specific help with. I recently became aware that some members of my vent know how to use the "bindings" that let you speak to someone in the same channel but not let anyone but that one person hear what you say. This "secret" like peer to peer binding has become an issue since other players in the channel feel left out of the conversation, or are becoming paranoid that the players using this binding ability are talking bad about people. I don't think there is anything really wrong going on, but I would like to remove the abiliy for this secretive peer to peer binding.

I am not sure how to tho.

1) Do I have to edit each user of my vent individually and if so how?

2) Is there a 'master' setting somewhere that I can use to just ban the use of this type of binding across the entire vent server?

Thanks for any help I might recieve, keep up the good work Flag, I am rooting for you.

you can do it on a per-channel basis.

rt-clik channel name / uncheck - cross channel, U2U xmitting, voice targets, commanding targets.

clik the help button here for more info

I did that for all of the channels in my vent and it worked. Is their a way to do it for the lobby though because it does not give those options to edit it like a channel.

the only option i'm aware of is to set 'silent lobby' which means no voice activity at all. if users wish to speak they would have to move to a channel.

this is a setting in the INI file and the server must be restarted after setting it.
