Default Password and Auth Question

Is there a way to password protect my Ventrilo server without setting up every user. I would just like the user to be prompted for a password when they log on.

In my .ini file I have:

Auth=1
password=jones

When other people try to logon they get the error that their password is wrong.

There seems to be no difference between setting Auth at 1 or 2, and if I set up Auth as 0, then anyone can logon. Is there a way to set up the server so people are prompted for a password when they logon?

I thought that Auth=0 meant no password, Auth=1 meant password was prompted and Auth=2 meant I had to set up every user. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Passwords are not prompted for upon connection, you must have the user enter it in the relevant field with the relevant server in their server address book in the client. Then they may attempt connection.
