Thumbs down Odd beeping while talking.

For some reason, whenever I am talking, people complain about a constant beeping, I've used the record feature built into my computer, and can hear it on there too, I guess this isn't really a vent problem, but you guys were the only ones I could think to ask.

what OS and sound device are you using?
is the sound using USB?

what other devices are plugged into the USB ports and mobo slots?

I'm using XP Pro SP2.
The device is a Gamecom headset, but the noise has persisted previous to this headset. It uses just two normal Mic/speaker jacks.

Other then that, the only other things connected to USB is my keyboard and a plain USB cord that isn't being used.

just curious, do you have one of those system monitor applications installed, because a constant beeping comes from one of those if its being told to watch fans/temps/voltages and one isnt performing to specs. It possibly has the send noise set somehow to a recording device. I know probably not but you never know

Well, I have object dock, and that does a little bit of monitoring on my RAM usage and such, plus my computer has a built in temperature gauge, but I doubt that's it.

Default Default Beep

I had a similar problem while using vent. The other people would complain of a beeping noise while I was talking. The only way I found to get rid of it was to turn off default beep in "Sounds and Audio Devices" in the control panel. I don't know if this will help your situation. But if you could identify the sound you may be able to find where it is coming from in this control panel applet.
