Default Full vent problem...HELP!!!

Basically, i use vent for gaming purposes(World of Warcraft), my push to talk button is totally stuffed up, i set it up exactly how everyone says to, i read all the threads about PTT on macs, yet when i push down the ptt button that little speaker on the vent window doesnt go green, i hear everyone else perfectly yet they can never hear me.

ensure that mute mic is not checked at the bottom of ventrilo.
can you test in setup?

um... a philips sbc hs500, but does that really make a difference with vent? like are there mac or special vent headsets? lol

Yep, that's your problem. You can't use a standard analog headset on a Mac.

You have to either buy a analog to USB converter, such as the Griffin iMic, or use a USB headset.

Default How to properly use the USB drive

Basically I have the same problam as fishem
So I bought a mic/headphones that works on macs and pcs and it came with a USB converter. I plugged the USB converter into a drive then plugged the mic and headphones into the USB converter. This merely resulted in the sound coming from the computer and steam coming from my ears. Any thoughts?
