Unable to connect with IP address

Hi there,

I have set up my vent server and am able to log in easily using my LAN address, however when I try and log in using my IP address It simply just won't connect. I've watched videos and read through forums about opening ports through my firewall, however even after doing this (assuming I did it correctly) I'm still having no luck.

If I could get some help to work through this that'd be great. It's so frustrating to know I am so close.

did you configure your router for portforwarding?

only use the local ipaddress to connect.
