Default RAM issues with PTT

Hi I have been using ventrillo on my mac for the past 6 months and I have been encountering horrible RAM consumption issues that are causing me a lot of lag while playing World of Warcraft and also causing ventrillo to crash.

The Problem is that every time I PTT my Real Memory will consistently rise by 10 MB, however, while not doing anything but receiving audio it will stay idle.

I have already tried the following:
Reinstalled ventrillo multiple times to ensure I have the most updated version and to make sure the install was not corrupted.-No Change

Changed my PPT key to many different keys.-No Change

Closed out as many unnecessary programs running in the background as possible. -No Change

This issue is causing a lot of problems while raiding with my guild. I constantly have to restart vent to clear the RAM consumption and it is really annoying, not to mention wasting a lot of time waiting for me to have to do this about every 20 mins. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what version of mac OS and vent are you running?

are there any error messages in the vent log file? rt-clik in window/view/log file/scroll to bottom.

as a test, try turning off 'play key clicks'

in vent setup/voice-binds tabs, are the output and input devices set to the actual name of the audio device or 'default'

are you using a wireless or bluethooth headset?

Sometimes restarting the PRAM works.
Try this: PRAM resetting
