Default Mac client .wav bindings functional?

So far I'm extremely impressed with the update made to the Mac client. The bindings have made a huge improvement to the performance and utility of the app. Text-to-speach is also very handy for hearing changes to the server and user status while using ventrilo while having another application maximized.

Now, to my problem, when setting up a binding and wanting to select a custom .wav file I get to the 'Edit Wave Files' window and see no .wav files listed. Clicking on the 'Work Dir' button opens a Finder window that takes me to ~/Library/Preferences/Ventrilo/ but does nothing in the application itself. Placing *.wav files in ~/Library/Preferences/Ventrilo/ or ~/Library/Preferences/Ventrilo/wav or Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/Ventrilo/ or Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/Ventrilo/wav does not make them appear in the the 'Edit Wave Files' window, even after restarting the application.

Looking online for help, some have figured out how to do this with the Windows client, but of course, the drive path on Mac is completely different. It appears that this feature is functional, but I can't figure out how to make it work. Has anyone figured out how to do this? Does it require a specific encoding of .wav? A system setting changed? A Ventrilo preference changed? I'm at a loss, any help would be appreciated.

Use the Work Dir button and it will show you a "wav" folder.

You create sub-folders below it and place the wave files in the sub folders.

You will need to re-open the binds editor to update the list of possible files.

Ok, that works fine now, thanks for the fast reply.

I can get the bind set up and the .wav plays when I hit it, but only I can hear it. Are other users in the channel supposed to be able to hear it? If so, how can get set up to do this, because it I can't get it to do that now?

unless it was changed from the windows client, the wave files need to be in the same relative location (working dir/wav) on each client machine. The wave sounds are not transmitted over Ventrilo.

Ok, will try setting it up with the same files on both computers to see if we can get both users to hear the same things. I will report back on the findings.

It works just like the windows platform (relativily speaking). But the Mac client lacks any documentation at this time so it wasn't obvious unless you had experience with the Windows client.

I hope to release Doc's with the first Beta release.
