Exclamation Vent with Boot Camp

Does anyone know if vent works with Boot Camp on the XP side? If you are running a game on the XP side do you download and install the windows version (I would think so) or the Mac version? Has anyone successfully done this yet..****n vent on the XP side of a Mac using Boot Camp?

Bootcamp is just a program that creates a partition on your harddrive. Then you install XP on that partition.

The XP partition IS windows, its not simulated.. I'm on a macbook pro and used bootcamp and have a windows partition.

Its just the same as having a PC. I have windowns vent on there and WOW, I use it for gaming because windows has alot more support for things like vent.

tho i quit wow... w00t

Bootcamp requires you to reboot into Windows.

There's a nifty app called Parallels lets you run XP and OSX at same time. Kinda like VPC.

Well, actually bootcamp DOES emulate some parts of a PC such as the BIOS (Macs use EFI) and such. Also all hardware drivers are written by Apple so you "may" experience problems with Microphones or the like though i doubt it.

Indeed. Parrallels can be useful seeming as it doesn't require a reboot, HOWEVER it does not support any 3d applications as far as i recall (Games) and furthermore it costs money which Bootcamp doesn't. On a different note it runs noticeably slower than Bootcamp.
