I am having the same problem! (I was really thinking it was just me). I am also using a logitech USB headset. I have a new iMac Intel 2. something G something something.. whatever. it's new. :-)
(and my Vent worked at one time also)

I have unplugged/replugged, turned off/turn on, logged out/logged in and restarted my mac.. all to no avail.

I suppose my next step would be to purcahse a new headset but I also know that my current headset is actually functional (according the sound readings on the mic test).

This is quite frustrating.

any new advice? please!
Thanks!

an update- I deleted and reinstalled Vent last night and even tried a different headset (a bluetooth headset) and still cannot be heard. I can still hear other people, however. Every now and then, I get a "buzz/beep/crackle" coming from me on vent and everyone thinks they can hear me, and then they can't again.
:-(

any other ideas or suggestions?
please?
Thanks!

Well, Bluetooth would be the last direction I would go in trying to resolve this problem. Bluetooth has its own unique set of issues.

If you'll enable Private Messages on the forums here, I'll send you one and try some troubleshooting with you.

Note:

We solved the problem for Luxey. She was not using push-to-talk. Once we setup push-to-talk, everything worked well.

We also could have tweaked the sensitivity setting and left it on voice-activated, but since most groups frown heavily on voice-activated (since it activates too much due to background noise), I recommend leaving it on push-to-talk.

Default Logitech headset

I've been having the same issue with a logitech USB headset and Vent with WOW.For some reason when i start vent, the sound goes out in the game. What ive been doing is going into system prefs/sound/output, checking the mute box, then unchecking. This fixes the problem until the next time. Hope that helps.
