when will ventrilo release a stable version of the speex codec????

The current versions ARE stable. Not sure what you refering too.

Default Crashing on exit

Can a program that crashes on exit every time as a known issue be considered stable?

Mmmm... probably not. But the codec used (speex) is certainly stable.

And as noted in the "Known issues" thread that bug is unique to OSX 10.4. Since prototype.6 was tested on 10.3 we didn't experience it before the release.

Perhaps you should direct your anger towards Apple Computer since it is an OS bug as far as I can tell. But still, we have developed a workaround for this OS problem and will be available in the next release.
