Default What files does this write to?

Hello all,

Since I installed the ventrilo mac client, for some weird reason my sound in Windows Media Player no longer work, and my sound in Warcraft 3 either. Since this is recent to the installation to Ventrilo, I have a feeling it may have overwritten something that it shouldn't have (why isn't this a self contained executable instead of something installing to various areas of the computer?)

Once I find out this, I can go back and try to diagnose if ventrilo is really the problem that caused my sound to go poof or not.

Thanks.

Odd to believe, I know.

The thing that perks my interest in this the most is that there's a dedicated installer for the OSX client (again I ask why), and there's a dedicated installer for Windows Media Player (a good question is why on this too), and also a dedicated installer for Warcraft 3 (why an installer!?)

That's why I'm really curious - I just hope a developer can give some information about what it writes and when that way I can either investigate this problem or disregard it and look for other causes.

The ventrilo app writes to the folder "ventrilo" which is located in your Home folder. So it should not affect WC3 or WMP.

That and a prefs file, but each of those is unique to the program that created it.

So the only files it writes to are:

/Applications/Ventrilo.app
~/Library/Application Support/ventrilo (and perhaps other configuration files)?

Thanks for the information so far, I'll try installing this on my laptop to see if I can reproduce the problem. If I can't, then it's gonna be interesting finding out where the problem is at.
