Default Unable to install ventrilo MACOSX 10.6.3

Hey guys
I'm unable to install ventrilo on my mac(osx 10.6.3)
Downloaded the zip file, opened the .pkg file and it gives me an error

"The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.) Couldn't open "ventrilo-3.0.4-Darwin-universal.pkg".

Any help is appreciated!

Curious, why would this make it work vs. double clicking the PKG after being expanded?

We see this happen frequently and is the result of

1) Permissions issue
2) Corrupted file download
3) Bad hard drive

So by duplicating it we are checking for other errors (such as 'this file cannot be copied') and or possibly changing the permissions on the file. My guess is that it's a corrupted download.

I would also suggest deleting the first download and then re-downloading the file from Ventrilo's site and try again.
