Default Ventrilo with Boot Camp

I'm intending to purchase a Mac Mini Core 2 Duo to replace my ageing PC.

I love to play Counter Strike 1.6 and intend to play it through Boot Camp. In clan matches on the PC I use the windows Ventrilo client to chat to team mates, so intend to download the windows client and install it under Boot Camp.

Are there any compatability issues? Anyone have problems running vent under XP in Boot Camp?

It would be a major bummer if I couldn't use it.

Another issue revolves around the use of a mic with the Mac Mini - it doesn't have a mic input (only line in), so I presume that I would have to use a USB mic or something like the Griffin iMic?

Thanks,

Si.

Not that I'm aware of.

I briefly had bootcamp on my laptop and did a quick windows client test and it seemed to work fine for me.

That's a relief. I'd hate to buy a mac, only to find that I couldn't talk to team mates during matches. To hear that the windows client works under Boot Camp is great.

Thanks for the response.
