Try creating a new user account on your Mac, install Vent and run it. Let it sit open for a few hours while you surf the 'net or whatever.

If it crashes, you probably have a system wide Operating System related issue.

If it doesn't, then something installed in your main account (or the OS) is causing the issue and Vent crashing is a by-product.

Once the issue is narrowed down, then more troubleshooting can be done, like repairing disk permissions or booting from the Startup, using Disk Utility and Repair Disk.
