It's possible that speakers aren't the issue but...

It's possible that speakers aren't the issue but the microphone in the logitech headset (or rather the driver for it) is.

I have been operating without a headset lately...

I have been operating without a headset lately and found that this problem no longer occurs. The problem seems to be only happening when I use Vent with my logitech headset.

I don't own a different headset and the panics do...

I don't own a different headset and the panics do not occur on a regular basis so it is very difficult to pin it down.
