Unable to Talk

I have been using Vent for ages, and all has been going well - until the other day.

I am now unable to talk. I have all the settings the same, but when I push my PTT button, nothing happens. No transmission, no green icon - nothing!

I have activated the Universal Access thing, PTT is checked in Setup, Enable outgoing communications is selected.

When I click 'Test' or 'Monitor' it gives me an error of "Start Failed"

What does this mean - why is it not working??

Have you checked to make sure that you do not have either Mute Sound or Mute Microphone/Binds checked at the bottom of the Ventrilo client?
