New 64 bit release crashs

Installed the new 64 bit version today and it crashs as soon as i open the program. I get the "Ventrilo by Flagship Industries, Inc. has stopped working"

I wanted to try the 64 bit version because i was having troubles with the 32 bit vent and my microphone would sometimes not work.

Any ideas?

I am running Vista Ultimate 64 bit, here is the error message in event viewer:

most likely driver related since the 32bit version was giving you problems. please ensure that you are running the manufacturer's latert driver release.

I'm having this same problem, except the 32bit build works perfectly fine. 64bit just crashes instantly.

mjgraf 03-09-2008 11:44 AM

please provide more information zimnick
a zip of the dxdiag output saved to file would help.

Is there a solution posted to this? If not, where can I upload my dxdiag.zip file for you?

Flagship 04-07-2008 09:27 PM

What OS?

mjgraf 04-07-2008 09:45 PM

just attach the dxdiag.zip file to a post. it should be small enough to be allowed.

My bad if I'm missing something, but apparently the moderator has to give me permission to post attachments. There's supposed to be a "manage attachments" button at the bottom of the composition window and there isn't. Oh, and yes I have Vista 64-bit and using the 64-bit client beta.

I'm having the same problem, but mine happens with 32-bit version as well. I'm running Windows Ultimate (64-bit)
