Newbie Ventrilo user question

I am having a couple of problems with the Mac client, and I'm sure they're both my fault because I'm missing something obvious, but I can't seem to find the answer.

BTW, I am the server administrator so I have both the server password and the administrator password.

First problem: I have no idea how to create channels on my server using the Mac client. I've looked around the whole thing but I can't figure it out. What am I missing?

Second (and more important) problem: I can't seem to kick anybody off my server. I use it with two different WoW groups, and I need to be able to kick Group 1 members off if they forget to log off the server and I need to use it for Group 2. If I select a name and try to do Kick, it's grayed out. At one point I get an option to enter a password, but neither the server password nor the administrator one seems to work.

What am I doing wrong here? It seems like these things should be easy, but somehow they aren't.

Thanks in advance.

Right click on the server icon in your Vent window, Channel Admin->Create

Doesn't sound like you're logged in as an administrator. Do you see an "A" by the server name in your Ventrilo window? That indicates whether you're logged in as an administrator or not.
